Member: BCS Council The BCS has a Council that provides advice to the Trustee Board on the direction and operation of the Society; in particular it is consulted on strategic plans and the annual budget. Council elects the Honorary Officers (President, Deputy President and up to nine Vice-Presidents) who sit on Trustee Board. It also elects five of its Professional Members to the Trustee Board. The Council is a representative body of the membership, with members elected directly by the professional membership, as well as by Branches’ Congress, Specialist Groups’Assembly, Forums, and the Young Professional Group.

Committee Member: BCS Internet Specialist group A forum for IT and internet professionals providing meetings, events and resources on internet technology and all aspects of its application.

Committee Member: BCS Central London branch The London Central Branch holds talks on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from September to June. Speakers are invited from all aspects of computing and related industries. Talks range from technical briefings to commercial applications. You will always be guaranteed an entertaining evening, with plenty of questions from the floor to provide a lively debate.
